Nobuko Akiyama was born in Tokyo. From early childhood she showed great interest in the European musical tradition. After completing her concert degree with honors at the Ueno Gakuen University in Tokyo, she pursued further studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she again graduated with honors, this time in Instrumental Music Education / Piano.
Nobuko Akiyama lives and works as a musician in Vienna, where she performs in various concerts and actively participates in artistic projects.
